For those of you who are still trying to catch up to our time change, here’s an idea: Go outside and run or do some yard cleanup. The fresh air will get you acclimated. I know it’s done me a world of good!
I’m not going to keep harping about the group runs this week, except to add that the Lehigh Valley Road Runners have started up one of their mid-week runs again. You can join the group on Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm in front of the LVRR clubhouse for a loop (or two) through Lehigh Parkway. Membership in the club is not required and they welcome all to join. http://lvrr.org/group-runs/
ST. PATRICK’S DAY
St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are sure to include green fountains of beer and lots of salted meats and potatoes. The Coventry Challenge 5k will be taking place on Saturday morning in Pottstown. On Sunday we have the St. Patty’s Day Scramble at Blue Marsh, a 6k and 15k trail run. Registration closes this Friday. In Allentown you can head over to the West End and cheer on all the green-clad runners in the St. Pat’s 5k, now in it’s fourth year.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED
The Tim Lambert BSA 5/10k needs Committee Members. If you can help out, please contact Tom Vincent at firstname.lastname@example.org.
RUNNING WITH THE AMISH
I wanted to share a link with you guys to Bart’s article in Runner’s World from two weeks ago. It’s a great read, especially for those of us who have grown accustomed the the carts and buggies here in Pennsylvania.
