Local Races Scramble in the Path of Irene

Hurricane Irene will hit the region this Sunday, bringing with it wind speeds of 40-75 miles per hour. Local officials and race management teams have decided that it is far safer and wiser to postpone and cancel Sunday events than to hold them and risk serious injury.
The Run Wild For the Zoo – Lehigh Valley Zoo 5k & 10k race has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2012.

The Perk Up Half Marathon has been canceled. This event will not be rescheduled.
