Resides in: Allentown
Years running: 14
Bio: Always athletic – played multiple sports throughout HS until about 35-40 years old … then took up more serious running to keep the conditioning up and weight down

What do you enjoy most about running?
Enjoying the outdoors, great stress reliever, staying in shape as I get a wee older …

What is the strangest/funniest thing that has happened to you on a run?
I got caught in a wicked thunderstorm in Lehigh Parkway and had to make my way back to my home off Fish Hatchery Road. Besides almost getting wacked by lightning, once I got back home, my patio door window was smashed (by effects of the storm). Not what I expected when I left the house 45 minutes earlier.

Favorite race distance?
5K, 4 mile, 5 mile

Best piece of running advice you’ve ever received?
When running down hill, don’t pull up … just let it go. My knees enjoyed this advice tremendously.

Running Heroes?
Bart Yasso. Read his book. Very interesting story.

Current running goals?
Running the 6.5 mile relay leg of the Lehigh Valley VIA Marathon in September. Thinking about the Lehigh Valley Half Marathon next spring.

What gets you excited about running?
The best & quickest workout you can do door to door in 30 minutes or so.
