Allentown Rotary Club 5k

The Allentown Rotary Club has announced its inaugural 5K Walk/Run to be held in the beautiful fall setting of Trexler Nature Preserve in Schnecksville on Sunday morning, October 3, 2010. The race is open to participants of all ages, and all proceeds from the event will directly benefit “Polio Plus”, Rotary International’s 25-year-old global effort to rid the world of Polio. A crippling and potentially fatal infectious disease, polio still strikes children mainly under the age of 5 in countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Participants may register and obtain sponsorship forms online at www.allentownrotary.org/5k until Friday, October 1.

Directions: Route 309 North, Left on Orchard Road, Follow into LCCC to Parking Lots E&F
Date: Sunday, October 3, 2010
7:30 am – 8:30 am: Registration and packet pickup
9:00 am: Race begins

The registration fee is $25.00 per participant, and the first 200 registrants will receive a long‐sleeve, micro‐mesh commemorative T‐Shirt.
