Krista Griesacker Memorial Hawk Mountain Adventure Race -Knowing this race wouldn’t work well with my schedule I didn’t look at the details too closely. However, this morning I decided to learn more about this race and WOW! I definitely want to keep this one in mind for next year. The race venue is Hawk Mountain – if you haven’t visited this amazing nature preserve yet then you need to add it to your list of things to do. You participate in teams of 2 or 3 people and complete a series of adventures and challenges while doing the following: 20 miles of running, trekking and orienteering, 5 miles of paved biking, 14 miles of mountain biking, 7 miles of canoe paddling, Rappelling and fun team challenges. Read the Information and Rules for more great info. PS – I’ll be looking for teammates for 2011.
