Giveaway Contest

Presenting the Lehigh Valley Zook 5k and 1 Mile Family Walk – with an all new course and crossing the Jordan Creek on the 150th anniversary year of the Geiger Covered Bridge, running on a tree shaded canopied trail and finishing in the zoo. Oh and don’t forget a Hi-Tech T, this promises to be the year’s MUST DO 5k!
Two lucky folks – one male and one female – will be the winners of this week’s Giveaway Contest for the Sunday August 29th Run Wild At Lehigh Valley Zoo 5K and 1 Mile Walk.
As part of the your registration fee you are entitled to all day admission to the Zoo. The proceeds of this event benefit the Lehigh Valley Zoo so run, have fun, and support a good cause!

Contest ends Friday, July 30th at 5:00 pm.

D&H Distance Run
Location: Forest City
The D&H Distance Run benefits the resurfacing of the next ten miles of trail from Herrick Center to Thompson. This 13.1 mile race will be an "out and back" run on the D&H Rail-Trail from Forest City to Union Dale. The trail is basically flat, approximately 15 feet wide, and recently resurface with fine crushed stone. There is a slight upgrade going northward and a slight downgrade for the return and finish. The run is a great tune-up for those training for the Steamtown Marathon and a great race for those attempting longer distance runs. All finishers will receive a D&H Distance pin. No duplicate awards. This year the field is limited to the first 325 registrants. Register as soon as possible. at 9:00 am
