The Girls on the Run 5k took place on Monday evening in Lehigh Parkway. It was a huge success with 400 runners for the race; 200 young girls paired with 200 running buddies. There were countless other volunteers helping out and 1200 people at the event. Congratulations to all the girls who finished the program and to all the volunteers who helped to make this happen!
Bring your kids to Lehigh Parkway this coming Saturday morning to the second Kids Race in the 2010 Kids Running Summer Series! Two weeks ago the race was an extremely successful event with 399 children finishing. Way to go, kids! And parents, too. If it weren’t for you bringing your children out to race it would not be as successful as it was. If you don’t have children then head on over and volunteer on Saturday. Your help would be very much appreciated.
Registration is from 8:45 – 9:30 am (ends promptly at 9:30 am
Age groups gather and begin pre-race warm up at 9:40 am
Races begin at 10:00 am sharp
Due to insurance reasons, all children must be registered and wear their race bib.

Emmaus Yoga Studio is offering free yoga classes every third Sunday at the Emmaus Farmer’s Market from June through September. The next session will be June 20th, Noon-1pm. They will be celebrating Father’s day with a 20 minute class (noon- 12:20) for Dads and their kids. (Moms are welcome too!) We will be showing some simple poses that can be done together. And to commemorate the Summer Solstice, we will be teaching Sun Salutations from 12:30- 1pm. We will have a drawing promptly at 1pm to win a FREE 5 class card, so make sure you fill out a ticket and stick around!! If you have a mat, please bring it. We will have mats to borrow if you do not have one.
