Matthew Fritz of Kempton won the 5k with a winning time of 17:41 and 1st place female was Lynn Knothe of Wilmington, DE with 20:02. Congrats also to Ryan Hogan, this was his very first race ever.

Congratulations to everyone else who raced over the weekend. Individual shout outs are pretty tough so please accept my blanket congrats.

The Finish Line Running Store will be hosting group runs on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm. Meet at the store in Emmaus between 5:00-5:30 pm. If you are looking to meet new people then this is a perfect way to do so! All paces are welcome to join, no one will be left behind. This week Craig Scheckler will be leading the group on the upcoming Emmaus 4 Miler race course. This is a perfect opportunity to study the course.

Speaking of the Emmaus 4 Miler, there are still spots available for the 33rd annual race. Be sure to register soon, April 5th is the final day to do so. If you are able to help with course notification you can meet at Emmaus High School this Saturday at noon to distribute fliers to homes along the course. If you are able to help volunteer on race day please contact Jack McCambridge at jackmcc57@yahoo.com.

You may noticed last week that there is a new series on the website called Coaches Corner. This series will feature sage advice from our local running coaches at all levels – high school, collegiate and private. Be sure to visit the website to read what local coaches have to say about training smart and staying injury-free.

Just a reminder that Tough Mudder may have sold out it’s registration entries but you can still participate by volunteering at the race. Volunteers are needed to fill a number of roles. Please contact Ashley Ellefson if you are able to help; ashley.ellefson@toughmudder.com/

The race schedule is pretty light this coming weekend due to the holiday with only one race on the calendar: Mt Penn Mudfest. Best of luck to everyone running, it looks like we’re in for some fantastic weather!

Don’t forget to take a look at the Race Calendar. There are 10 races in total next weekend, April 10-11. Wow! I have both local and non-local races listed. If you know of an event not on the calendar please let me know.

For those of you planning to run the Run for the Red Pocono Marathon on May 16th, there is a group 20 mile long run this Friday, April 2nd going from school to school along the race course. Please contact Tricia at Aardvark for more details, varkpd@ptd.net.
