What’s Up Groundhog?

Last week Punxatawny Phil popped his head out of his hole and declared six more weeks of winter. We were promptly covered with up to a foot of snow later that same week. Once again we’re in for a snowstorm. Total accumulation is expected to be between 10-18 inches according to the National Weather Service. I don’t know about you but this sure throws a kink in my running routine.
One safe way to get that run is to take it indoors. If you belong to a fitness facility you can enjoy the sweaty warmth of the gym and run on the treadmill. I’m lucky enough to have a treadmill in my basement which is where I can be found on both rainy and snowy days. I have spent a lot of time indoors this year, more than most years, which makes running outside so much sweeter when the weather breaks.

I give you mad props for dealing with that weather AND having to dreadmill it up! I hope the next 6 weeks breeze by and you have warm spring days before you know it!!!
