I Can Run For Miles

Yesterday the Northeast was delivered a thick, white blanket of snow. And when I say thick, I mean THICK. I stuck my ruler in the snow this morning and recorded 15.5″ of fresh snow. I don’t know about you but I haven’t seen that much snow in these parts for a very long time. Snowed in, we were forced to find ways to amuse ourselves. I, personally, worked on the computer, went outside to shovel snow and play with the kids, got in a treadmill run and finally shoveled more snow.
I received an email this morning from a friend sharing how he had passed the time yesterday. I hope you enjoy!

I Can Run For Miles
by Terry Worchesky
You know I’ve had trouble, now here’s a surprise
My training success has put magic in my thighs
I can run for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
If you think that I don’t know how far the run is today
And never see how steep those freakin’ hills that are in my way
I’ve got my pack full of Gu
I’m all hydrated too
I’m prepared for the trial
I’m gone for a while
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
You set up sprains and pulls and tears just to get in my way
Then you had them charge me gobs of cash to enter a 10k
That you still want me
In the race, well you’ll see
I will set a PR
‘cause I’ve run so far
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
I know I’ve done junk miles, now here’s a surprise
My interval training has put magic in my thighs
I can run for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah
I ran my pace and pulled negative splits all the way
Faced the wall and mary well she is mine today
Well, here’s a joke for you
I’m really stoked on it too
My blings in a pile
My BQ’s on file
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles
I can run for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
I have run for miles and miles* (repeat 9 time fading)
