First Strides for Women Starting Up

Hello Ladies,
The start of First Strides® is right around the corner! Feel free to go to www.firststrides.com for all of the information on the First Strides® workshops. Remember, registration for First Strides® Sand Island (spring) and Allentown (fall) workshops will ONLY be online at www.active.com. The other sites will have downloadable and printable applications that can be found on location or on their individual pages at www.firststrides.com.
Registration for the spring 2010 Sand Island program is now open. Please go to http://www.active.com/running-training-program/bethlehem-pa/first-strides-bethlehem-sand-island-2010 to register at active.com. The process is very safe, secure, and user friendly. You will find helpful instructions for the active.com registration on our website. Remember to register early to get the early bird discount.
The spring sessions will be beginning as follows:
- Bethlehem Sand Island, Thursday, March 25 at 6:00 pm.
- Hanover Township Community Center (HTCC) -Tuesday, March 23 at 6:00 pm.
- Stroudsburg at the Chipperfield School complex – Monday, March 22 at 6:15 pm.
- Bethlehem Township Community Center (BTCC) – Tuesday, March 30 at 5:30 pm
- Bethlehem Township Community Center (BTCC) – Wednesday, March 31 at 9:15 am.
* Remember, there are no Lehigh Parkway, Allentown workshops in the spring
* **First Strides Spring Graduation 5K event – Hanover Township’s Annual Women’s 5K run/walk will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010.
Mark your calendars for the fall: The workshops at Lehigh Parkway, Allentown will begin on Tuesday, July 27th and Wednesday, July 28th at 6:15 pm. There will also be sessions at HTCC on Thursdays at 6:00 pm, Stroudsburg on Mondays at 6:15 pm, and at BTCC on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:15 am. These programs will also start the week of July 26th. The graduation race will be the Women’s 5K Classic. This race will be held on October 16, 2010. This also is an all women’s event. It includes a 5K (3.1 mile) walk in the park, a 5K competitive walk, a 5K run, and a 5 mile run. It is in the top 5 largest all women’s events in the USA!
